With over 120 wineries and tasting rooms, Arizona is one of the best places to be if you want to visit a winery.

While Arizona wine tours have a lot to offer, the challenge can come in knowing how to choose the best one. With so many available, it can be difficult to narrow things down, especially if you don’t know much about wine. Wine Tours of Sedona hosts some of the best tours and tasting sessions available.

In this guide, we’re going to cover some of our top wine tours so that you can decide which is best for you. Keep reading for more.

Sedona Arizona Wine Tasting Experience

This is a 4-hour tour that takes you through 4 of the best tasting rooms in Arizona: Decanter Wine Tasting Room, The Art of Wine, Winery 1912, and VinoZona.

You can schedule your pickup spot with us to make things easier. Jim Reich (the owner of Wine Tours of Sedona) will meet you there and serve as your tour guide for the day.

At the starting spot (Decanter Wine Tasting Room), you can choose from a white or red flight along with a charcuterie platter. The next stop is VinoZona, where you can choose from a red, white, or sweet wine flight. You’ll also find various galleries, shops, and boutiques here.

Next, you’ll head to The Art of Wine for a red, white, sweet, or mead flight. The staff will also be able to tell you about the wines of Arizona that make it stand out.

Finally, you’ll move on to Winery 1912. This spot offers various wines made by John McLoughlin that you can enjoy along with incredible views of Snoopy Rock and Munds Mountain.

Alcantara Estate Vineyards

This tour involves a trip to one of the most beautiful Sedona wineries you’ll find. Each year, they produce about 25 different wines of various styles. The tour lasts for 3 hours and includes 1 VIP wine tasting and an antipasto or charcuterie plate.

The Alcantara Vineyard sits on the confluence of the Verde River and Oak Creek. This inspired the name of one of their most popular wines, the Confluence.

You can do more here than just drink wine. You’ll find cliff dwellings that date back to the Sinagua and Anasazi Indian cultures, a private beach on the Verde river, and there’s even a wedding chapel onsite.

Date Night Wine & Dinner

This is one of the best Arizona winery tours for couples, as it’s packaged as a date night. It will take you to the Page Springs Area of Cornville, starting with a pick-up from your accommodation.

You’ll head through Sedona’s bluffs, red rock formations, and secret canyons over Oak Creek to the first stop, DA Ranch & Vineyard. We consider this to be one of Arizona’s best wineries in the area for both its wine selection and beautiful scenery.

After this, you’ll be taken to Up The Creek for dinner. This starts with a wine-tasting flight, then you’ll have your meal consisting of an appetizer, an entree, a dessert, and a glass of wine.

This tour takes 5 hours in total, and we can personalize it to make it ideal for the night you have planned. For example, your tour guide will be with you throughout a lot of the evening, but just let us know if you’d prefer more one-on-one time with your partner and we’ll accommodate you as best we can.

Sedona Wine Lover’s Experience

If you really want to have the best wine tour in Arizona, things should be set up just for you. This is a custom tour option that lasts for 7 hours. You’ll have a large part of the day to spend enjoying the scenery of Sedona while sampling some of the best local wines.

This tour is great for beginners as well as wine connoisseurs. You’ll have an expert guide with you who can tell you everything you need to know about the wines and wineries in the area.

We can even offer behind-the-scenes tours of one of the barrel rooms in a local vineyard. This isn’t open to the public, but we can arrange it for those who want to book this tour.

You’ll have time to sample wines at up to five different locations. We can cater the tour to you based on things like your palate, your interests, and what you feel like on the day. Due to the length of the tour, we also have lunch and dinner options available for an additional charge.

The Terroir of the Verde Valley Wine Trail

This is one of the most popular tours we offer, so it’s definitely worth considering. One of the reasons people love this tour so much is because it’s different for everyone. You’ll spend 5 hours visiting a selection of wineries depending on what you like.

Every winery in Arizona is different, so there are some you’ll prefer to others. We’ll do our best to determine which ones you’ll enjoy the most, and which ones you’d rather avoid.

You can do some research ahead of time to give you an idea of what to expect at different wineries. Or, simply tell us what you’re in the mood for on the day, and we’ll work out the perfect tour for you.

It lasts for 5 hours and will consist of up to 4 wine tasting flights. For an additional charge, you can add lunch or dinner.
